Our First Mother’s Day

Today is a day I will remember forever – my very first Mother’s Day as Philip’s mama.

From the moment I held him in my arms, I knew my life had changed in the most beautiful way. Every sleepless night, every cuddle, every tiny milestone—it’s all been leading up to this moment, where I get to celebrate being his mama.

Philip and I are marking the occasion in the sweetest way possible—with matching outfits! His onesie and my T-shirt say, “Our First Mother’s Day. Philip & Mama 2025.” It’s a simple yet special reminder that this is just the beginning of a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventures together.

And as if the day couldn’t be any more special, I also received my very first Mother’s Day gift—a personalised book titled “Mama’s Magic Hugs for Philip” and a beautiful card. Seeing our names in a book celebrating the magic of a mother’s love made my heart melt. It’s a keepsake I will cherish forever, something I can read to Philip as he grows, reminding him of just how loved he is.

Motherhood is everything I imagined and more. It’s overwhelming at times, yes, but it’s also full of moments that make my heart burst with joy. The way Philip looks up at me, the way his tiny fingers wrap around mine, the way he giggles – these are the moments that make it all worth it.

Today, I’m celebrating not just myself but all the amazing mothers out there. Whether it’s your first Mother’s Day or your fiftieth, we are all part of something incredible.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mama out there – especially to those, like me, experiencing it for the very first time. Here’s to many more years of love and matching outfits! ❤️

Why I Choose Acupuncture, Reflexology & Cupping — and How They Help Me Be a Better Mama for Philip

If you’ve been following along, you know I’ve always been a big believer in taking care of my body — physically, emotionally, and mentally. Not just for me, but so I can show up as the best possible mama for my sweet boy, Philip. Now that he’s crawling everywhere, pulling himself up, and almost standing (!!!), he’s also hit another big milestone: separation anxiety. He wants me constantly. He needs to be on me, next to me, or in my arms basically 24/7. Otherwise, there are tears. It’s beautiful and exhausting at the same time. And it made me realize (once again) that if I want to keep up with him and stay patient, present, and strong, I have to take care of myself first.

The New Me: Finding Myself in the Chaos of Motherhood

The other day, during one of my mama chats, a fellow mama said something that struck me deeply. She shared how she was struggling to figure out how to be the new her — how to be herself and a mother at the same time. That simple truth stayed with me. Because, honestly? I get it. Becoming a mother isn’t just about taking care of a baby. It’s a total identity shift. It’s letting go of who you were and trying to find your voice again in a whole new world — one filled with love, doubt, exhaustion, and endless responsibility. It’s a complete transformation — you don’t just have a baby… you are reborn too.
